Second, we are starting 2 new hip-hop fusion club nights! Monday Nights at Republic in Vancouver, and Thursday Nights at Rumorz in Surrey. Check out the Facebook Event Pages for more info.
Third, Avtar Rai aka Just Rai, and “E.V.” will be performing for the City of Delta as part of its Olympic Celebrations. We’ll be debuting our new track with DJ Sanj called Apple Bottom Jeans. See the next shows below for more info.
Fourth!! Are you ready...Juggy D and Mumzy will be touring Canada, A-slam and Just Rai are the official opening acts. Vancouver will be on Feb 25, Calgary on Feb 26, and Edmonton on Feb 27. Check out the Event pages for more info.

One big update for this month. After DJing a Raasra event during Golden Jubilee, I recorded a Raasra mixtape, which I then never put out. Well here it is for free download!

Dec News & Events
New track and video this month called Would You Wait. The song is about prostitution, and was inspired by Trisha Baptie. Please check it out in the downloads. And the Would You Wait Video is on youtube, and also in the mini player above. Please rate and comment. The song features Shivangi and contains voice clips from activists in the field: Michelle Miller, Trisha Baptie, and Annabel Webb. The beat was done by DJ ExxQuiZiT.

Big month. There are three new remixes in the downloads section, and linked here. DJ Shiva and DJ VX versions of Charcha, coming out of New Delhi, and DJ Nick's version of Back Down coming out of Malaysia. Definitely check them out.
If you have a moment, please vote for Inez. She has made it to round two of the aboriginal peoples choice awards. Her E vent Page has the link to vote and the categories she is nominated for. A-slam & Magic Touch produced the entire album, and are nominated for best producer/engineer.

To celebrate the website launch, my b-day, and end of exams, we're throwing a PATIO PARTY at SFU's Highland Pub, Burnaby Campus. This coming Friday Aug 14, Ladies free till 10:30p. Definitely come down, for more see the 'next shows' below.

March New Song & Pictures
We're off to Toronto for desi fest. We'll see you there. We're on at 3:30p. Playing along side toronto musicains Tumbiwalla and dholly Jasraj. After that to the UK we go!

East Van makin' some noise
The new a-slam website is nearing completion, so definitely watch for that. The biggest thing for March is happening Sunday March 6th. It's this month's Hot N Spicy. We will be djing and Danny Fernandez will be live on the mic. The Second thing for March is the 19th, SFU's first desi pub night, hosted by the Punjabi Culture Club. We also posted new photos of us opening for Aman Hayer, see below for more details.

Hot N Spicy - Sun Mar 6 - Wild Coyote - Guest List ($15 and Ladies Free)
A-slam will be djing and performing at this month's Hot N Spicy, one of the best desi gigs in Vancouver. Danny Fernandez will be there live on the mic. Email us for Guest List. Ladies on the Guest list are free before 11 and guys are $15 before 11.
SFU Desi Pub Night - Thurs Mar 19 - $5 early bird
SFU Students come out to the Thurs Mar 19th for SFU's first desi pub night, hosted by the Punjabi Culture Club. A-slam will be djing and performing. Early bird tickets are $8. Facebook event page too come, email me or message me on Facebook for more details in the comming week.

Community Events
Generation of Healing - Canadian Cancer Society & Cops for Cancer fundraiser - Mar 13
A fundraiser for children with cancer to further help in treatment of cancer in kids. The fundraiser will take place at Bombay Banquet Hall. More details can be found on our Faecbook event page.
